We as a family, had a lovely break away in September, in Weymouth, Dorset after 5 years. The Ocean Guest House was a refreshing place to stay, lovely proprietress, Lynn who made us feel very welcome with her cupcakes and a hot drink on arrival. Comfortable night stays with its fluffy pillows and warm duvets on the beds. Bright, clean airy rooms with breath taking sea view or harbour, which my son, Dean took photographs of. To set you up for the day ahead was a good hearty full English breakfast cooked for us each morning. As the weather was so good to us it permitted my daughter, Kelly and myself to sit out on the sun terrace watching the boats go by. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and that’s down to the lovely location, good service and friendly owners of this Guest House. No…
A lovely, well-decorated and clean room with a bay window overlooking the beach. A very nice lounge with tea and excellent home-made cake and a terrace as well. Lynn, the landlady, is really hospitable and helpful. She very kindly sourced me vegetarian sausages and the breakfast was really great. Our stay was very nice and relaxing and we really couldn't fault the Ocean Guest House in any way.
Yet another fantastic stay
What can we say. Yet another great stay. 3rd time staying cannot fault it, Lynn is a great Landlady always a homemade cake on offer, rooms are clean and have great views. Breakfast is fantastic and caters for gluten free.
Easter weekend break
We stayed at this fab guest house for 2 nights. Having stayed in a lot of others over many years visiting Weymouth this was the best one yet. The owners were very friendly and made us feel very welcome right from the doorstep until we left. The property is in a great location and having the terrace overlooking the harbour is a real bonus. Everything was perfect including breakfast and we would definitely stay again.
Perfect stay perfect location perfect hosts
Lovely friendly hotel with views over the beach on one side and the harbour on the other side, just yards from each. Comfy rooms, friendly hosts and lovely breakfast. Parking permit was a huge bonus. The location could not have been nicer
Great room, great view
We stayed two nights in room 5 - the room was clean and warm, the view across the beach was excellent, and Lynn made us feel at home. Breakfast was delicious, as was the home-made cake. Highly recommended and great value for money.
Gail B - March 2019
I was lucky enough to win a night's B&B which Lynn had generously donated as a raffle prize for a hospice fundraiser; she then extended this to two nights because the only room available on my chosen date hadn't yet been refurbished! The room was clean, tasteful and comfortable but what made the stay was Lynn's welcome and attention to detail in looking after us. Delicious cake in the lounge and a yummy breakfast cooked to order; my gluten and dairy intolerant friend was also well catered for and this was much appreciated. Lynn made lots of recommendations for places to eat/drink/walk/be entertained and gave us special offer vouchers to the Sealife centre, which was well worth a visit. When we returned from our day out we found a note on the door to say that the bottles of wine we had left in our room were in the fridge waiting for us! Ice bucket and glasses also provided! We felt really spoiled, would highly recommend, and will certainly return as paying customers 😊. Thank you so much Lynn for a much needed weekend of R&R and for your generosity to the hospice that is very close to my heart.
